Superb Craftsmanship

BBD (Back Bayou Design) is a small workshop located on a bayou in Moss Point, Ms. It is filled with lumber, metal, stained glass and lots of idea's. I love the adventure of acquiring building material for the projects. Most of the lumber is rescued from local river and bayou's. Cypress, Pine, Oak, and Juniper are gathered from floating logs and brought to small local sawmills. Here they are cut into various lengths and thicknesses, stacked and then allowed to air dry. Some of this lumber has been in the river for a while and may have barnacles and worm holes which enhance the one of a kind pieces. Occasionally interesting pieces of driftwood are found to round out a nice selection of material to transpose into treasures. Metal is used to build tables incorporating wood elements to create one of a kind pieces of funiture. I also make stained glass lamps, small window panels and sun-catchers to keep things interesting.. From the beginning of the adventure to the end, I enjoy the challenge of the design and the process to the finished product. Each piece becomes a personal treasure.

One of a Kind Hand Crafted Decor

A fallen tree, produced by an act of nature, that might have been submerged for many years is suddenly swept from the bilges of the river and lodged on a sand bar along the Pascagoula River. Rescued, cleaned, processed, and transformed to a work of art that becomes unique and original.
Each Piece is painstakenly created with the love of the craft!
